Today the firm is led by Austin Pelton, son of founder Scott Pelton, and continues the sales-first philosophy Scott brought with him from U.S. Surgical Corporation.

The People Behind Your Search
Austin took over as President of SRP Partners in February 2022, continuing the firm his father, Scott Pelton, built. In his first year running SRP, he was named Rookie of the Year by the First Interview Recruitment Network. The same year, the firm earned the Network’s $4 Million Total Network Placement Award. Austin has since modernized how SRP operates: AI-driven sourcing, an expanded team, and a process built for the speed modern medtech hiring demands. He runs the client relationship and closes every placement personally. Austin has also served private equity firms on executive search retainers, placing four C-suite and Director-level roles across Boyne Capital portfolio companies.
Nick leads day-to-day candidate engagement at SRP Partners as Director of Recruitment and partner in the firm. A Florida Atlantic University graduate with a Sociology degree, Nick manages the candidate-facing recruiting process across SRP’s full book of searches. He works candidate-by-candidate to understand career goals, compensation targets, and territory preferences, and builds the national network that consistently delivers for SRP’s medtech clients.
The Sourcing & Operations Team
Chané leads medical device sourcing and produces SRP’s marketing content. Her work centers on the clinical environments our candidates will actually operate in and on the stakeholder-specific selling experience that separates a performer from a résumé.
Nicola supports SRP’s sourcing function and leads client acquisition and business development, identifying prospective client companies and opening conversations with founders and commercial leaders building out their teams.
How SRP Partners Was Built
SRP Partners was founded in 2004 by Scott Pelton. His medical device career began at Boundary Healthcare and then U.S. Surgical Corporation under Leon Hirsch, where he rose to Regional Sales Manager. He later served as Eastern Area VP of Sales for gynecology devices at Imagyn Medical Technologies before moving to the recruiting side of the business.
What became SRP Partners was built on the commercial discipline Scott learned at USSC: rigorous rep training, tight territory management, and a hiring standard that wouldn’t bend for a warm body. Over the following two decades, Scott’s firm built out commercial teams at companies including Barrx Medical, SI-Bone, and Medtronic InterStim. The firm he built continues today under his son, Austin Pelton.
